Baggage policy

Each ticket holder is entitled to one (1) onboard bag and two (2) checked baggages items. All in accordance with the following baggage policy:

1 ONBOARD LUGGAGE

Orléans Express authorizes one (1) piece of onboard baggage per passenger, weighing no more than 5 kg (11 lbs) and measuring no more than 115 cm (45 in.) linear.
Linear dimensions = width + length + height (must fit within a restricted space of 19 cm (7.5 in.)

Ex: slim backpack, briefcase, handbag (laptops, cameras, electronics and other personal effects must all fit in the one onboard bag.

The “carry-on suitcase” is not allowed on board and must be placed in the hold in accordance with the baggage allowance.

Hand baggage must be placed in the compartments above the seats. For safety reasons, it may not be placed on a seat or in the aisle.

With the exception of hand baggage, all other baggages must be placed in the hold according to the applicable conditions.

CHECKED BAGGAGE

Each ticket holder has a free baggage allowance of two (2) pieces. The maximum weight must not exceed 23 kg (50 lbs) and the maximum linear dimension 165 cm (65 in).
Linear dimension = width + length + height.

Carry-on suitcases must be placed in the hold and are subject to the conditions and baggage limit.

Sports equipment and musical instruments are considered as hold baggage and are subject to the conditions and baggage allowance.

Bicycles, electric bikes, and scooters are not included in the baggage allowance included with your ticket (2 pieces of baggage). They are not considered an extra piece of baggage: they are subject to separate fees. Therefore, any ticket holder traveling with one of these items must pay the applicable bicycle transport fee, regardless of the number of other bags checked in the hold. Additionally, these items must be packed in a rigid box or cardboard container, in accordance with the instructions provided in the “How to travel with a bicycle” section.

Any additional baggage will be considered as “extra” hold baggage, for which certain conditions apply.

Protective plastic wrappings around suitcases must be removed to help with baggage handling.

** If the baggage exceeds 23 kg (50 lbs), you will have to handle your baggage to place it in the hold yourself. Orléans Express accepts no responsibility.

Dimensions: your checked baggage can measure up to 60 cm x 60 cm x 90 cm (24’’ x 24’’ x 36’’)

* If your baggage weights over 23 kg (50 lbs), you have to load it and unload it yourself from the baggage hold.

Items placed in a plastic bag (such as garbage bags or shopping bags) that cannot ensure the protection of its content cannot be checked. Such a bag can be considered as a carry-on only if it is possible to place it in the overhead compartment.

Two additional pieces of baggage are allowed at an additional cost of $30 (plus taxes) per piece.

The extra baggage fee is not eligible for a refund.

Bicycles, electric bikes, and scooters are not included in the baggage allowance included with your ticket (2 pieces of baggage). They are not considered an extra piece of baggage: they are subject to separate fees.

Your 5th piece of baggage and all additional pieces of baggage must be sent via EXPEDIBUS shipping services. The cost will be determined according to the weight and destination of the baggage, whether or not it travels in the same coach as you.
